Chris Lilley Masterclass Day River Yare
29.07.2016
great catch Chris
This was a special 60th birthday present from Chris’s daughters Emma and Nicola. The river Yare near Postwick in Norfolk was the chosen venue.
Chris wanted to improve his feeder fishing and this was the perfect river.
The tide had just started to ebb. Casting to the middle of the river with a 35 gram window feeder soon produced bites. The first fish was a small hybrid which took the double maggot hookbait on the drop. A good skimmer over 1lb followed, then some small roach plus more skimmers. It was a bite every put in.
We took the catch shot at a about 4pm Chris having had one of his most productive days ever on the feeder and I guess he had caught close to 12lbs of fish.

Hooked for Heroes Charity Fishing day with Keith Smith and Mike Dodd
18.07.2016
Keith and Mike made the highest bid for a day’s fishing with myself all the money going to the Hooked for Heroes Charity.
The wonderful Decoy Lakes near Whittlesey in Cambridgeshire was the chosen venue.
It was a very warm sunny summer morning with a light westerly breeze. I decided that Elm lake would be a good choice.
Pole was the chosen method, loose feeding 4mm Van Den Eynde hard feed carp pellets at 6 mts also using a small pot on the pole to cup in a mixture of 2mm and 4mm dampened pellets with a 5mm or 6mm banded pellet on the hook.
Within a few minutes both anglers were catching well, Keith lots of carp while Mike’s swim was full of barbel. It did not take long before the 50lb net limit was reached and they were both returning fish as they caught them.
We left the bank at about 4pm. It had been a fantastic day with Keith and Mike catching close to 200lbs of fish each.
